What Tile Solver does
Enter any set of letters — up to 20 — and Tile Solver instantly checks them against a curated English dictionary to surface every word you can form. Results are scored using standard Scrabble tile values so you can spot high-value plays at a glance. Rare words containing high-scoring letters like J, Q, X, and Z are highlighted in teal.
You can narrow results by minimum or maximum word length, require words to start with, end with, or contain specific letters, and use ? as a wildcard for any letter. Sort by Scrabble score, word length, or alphabetically. Copy individual words, copy all results, or export to a plain-text file.
How It Works
Tile Solver runs entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript — no server calls, no accounts, no tracking. When you click Unscramble, it checks every word in the dictionary against your available letters using a fast letter-bag algorithm. Wildcards (?) count as free substitutions, letting you model blank tiles in Scrabble.
The dictionary covers the most common English words used in everyday word games. Scrabble scoring follows the standard TWL (Tournament Word List) letter values.
